Over 100 Bodaboda operators in Nairobi have been fined KShs. 35,000 each, after they were apprehended on allegations of unlawfully riding on pavements, hence blocking pedestrians and other road users.
The riders who appeared before Milimani resident magistrate Esther Kimiilu pleaded not guilty to the charges. This follows a crackdown on the Bodaboda sector sanctioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta following a horrible incident in which a lady motorist was molested by a mob of riders
