An autopsy report by Government Pathologist, Johansen Oduor, revealed that the JKUAT student Rita Waeni's death was caused by strangulation before decapitation.

The autopsy report confirmed that her head had been chopped off at the neck, and her scalp was also bruised with a blunt object
