Joseph Kamau, a man accused of allegedly shooting his Senior Sergeant, Ayub Apolo, at the Akira Kedong Ranch on Sunday, December 26 was arraigned in Naivasha Law Court before Senior Resident Magistrate Esther Mburu. Kamau was said to have pulled the trigger after Apolo questioned him on being late for his shift.

Kamau appeared before court where he pleaded for counseling and house arrest instead of being held at the police as investigations are still ongoing arguing that he had undergone psychological torture in the cells. Senior Magistrate however denied his request of having him under house arrest but allowed the request for counseling.

She equally gave an order for investigations to be carried out within 8 days which included, recording statements of witnesses, recovery of the rifle used for the murder, and recording statements of the suspect. The suspect is also expected to be taken for mental assessment.
