Kiamugumo sub-location in Ngariama ward of Gîchûgû Constituency, Kirinyaga county is filled by grief following the murder of an Assistant Chief. Denis Magu, 36, is said to have been murdered in cold blood by his wife during a domestic quarrel on Wednesday night December 15th 2021 at around 9:00 pm.

The late Magu died on his way to the hospital and the body later taken to Kerugoya Level 4 hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem. The suspect has since been arrested and detained at the Kianyaga police station as police launch investigations. According to the Assistant Chief’s mother Rose Njeru, Magu and his wife have never been involved in a domestic tussle in their 14 years of marriage.
