Another GSU Officer Shot Dead By Colleague

Laikipia police are investigating a murder at the Miteta General Service Unit (GSU) camp where an officer reportedly shot his colleague dead after an argument. According to Laikipia County Police Commander, John Nyoike, the suspect opened fire and shot his colleague on the head after a heated debate over an unknown dispute. After shooting his counterpart, the assailant picked up his belongings that were packed in a bag, his rifle, and fled towards the conservancy. 

Laikipia County Police Commander, John Nyoike stated that the officer further started shooting indiscriminately at the camp as he fled towards the Laikipia Nature Conservancy. Officers have since been dispatched to the area to pursue, track and capture him. The body of the victim was taken to Nyahururu County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
