DP Ruto takes Bottom-Up Economic Model to Nyamira.

Deputy president Dr. William Ruto on Tuesday, while drumming up support for the Bottom-Up Economic Model in Nyamira County, said small scale traders and farmers are at the heart of the model, which will ensure they are empowered and thriving in an economy, that has a strong base for everyone to grow.

He slammed his competitors whom he claims want to the constitution changed, saying his party, UDA, will be at the forefront of ensuring that priority, will be given to have employment opportunities for the youth and economic growth, if his statehouse bid becomes successful.

"Next year, our priority is to set aside 100 billion kenyan shillings for projects meant to give the youth employment" he said.

Ruto who has been on a two day tour in the County ahead of 2022 presidential polls, among other projects, officially opened an Administrative Police quarters in Itibo Chief's camp in Bomwagamo, North Mugirango constituency.

He was accompanied by members of parliament Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Joash Nyamoko ( North Mugirango), Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba) among others.
